I was born and raised in Chicago. I'm a self taught artist currently residing in Tampa, FL. I work as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer. For the past 18 years, I've worked in the comic book industry as a digital colorist and painter, most recently working for Marvel, DC, and Dark Horse comics. After discovering punk rock during the early 80's, I designed album covers, t-shirts and flyers for various punk bands in Chicago. This led to abundant work in the 90's as a silkscreen concert poster artist, supplying hand crafted promotional posters for bands and venues all over the USA. I used to be known as "Trucker" in the rock poster world. You can check out my poster work in the best selling book, The Art of Modern Rock.
For the past 3 years, I've been exhibiting my fine art work in numerous galleries across the US. Just like the comic book stories that occupied me as a youth, I view the shrinking world and the society around me as an ever-growing battle between good and evil. I create imagery that encompasses my own journey of faith while enabling me to take a break from the turmoil of day-to-day life and reconnect with the dreamer and cartoon & comic book fanatic I was as a child.
